2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in Temecula

The all-new 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 will soon hit DCH Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Temecula and it may be the best Jeep Grand Cherokee...ever.

Mike Manley, our faithful and fearless President and CEO had this to say about the all-new 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8; "the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the ultimate performance SUV, delivering a combination of Jeep capability and utility, world-class performance, luxury and refinement, advanced innovative technology? Jeep vehicles have long been known for their off-road capability. In addition to Jeep four-wheel-drive traction and utility, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 takes capability to a new level by giving driving enthusiasts extreme performance for the street and track."

The Grand Cherokee hits 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds, and polishes off the quarter-mile in the mid 13-second range. It hits a top speed of 155 mph, not that we recommend you try that out. Also, if you need to brake fast and hard, she'll accommodate you, coming down from 60-0 in just 116 feet.

Equal in both beauty and brawn, this Grand Cherokee is the most powerful Jeep vehicle ever. With an all-new 6.4-liter HEMI V-8, the Grand Cherokee is capable of 465 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. All that power is nicely harnessed with adaptive damping suspension managed by the all-new Selec-Trac system, making this Grand Cherokee capable of up to .90 g on the skid pad. Also new for 2012 is an active valve exhaust system, which allows standard Fuel Saver Technology to engage over a wider rpm range for an estimated 13-percent improvement in highway fuel efficiency and 450-mile range. As if this weren't enough we've also made driving just that much more pleasurable by adding standard steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

The 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 is more aggressive looking than before with exclusive front and rear fascias with LED daytime running lamps and chrome bezel inserts completing the look.

A new rear liftgate spoiler is designed to reduce drag and improve downforce at high speeds.

Riding on split five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 will be available with either all-season or three-season Pirelli P-Zero runflat tires.

Inside, the SRT team upgraded the Grand Cherokee's interior with a three-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom, Nappa leather and suede seats and extensive carbon fiber accents. SRT's Performance Pages trip computer functions remain, meaning the Grand Cherokee SRT8 can display performance figures like 0-60 time, 60-0 distance, g-forces and one eighth and quarter mile times.

In addition, a new 825-watt 19-speaker audio system boasts a 10-inch subwoofer.
