What is so special about the off-roading capability?
The Wrangler comes with the option of a two-door or a four-door model. The two-door model has the option of a Sport, Sport S, or Rubicon trim, while the four-door model has the option of a Sport, Sport S, Sahara, or Rubicon trim. For off-roading capability the Wrangler has a Command-Trac 4x4 system that comes with a specialized two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, a heavy duty upgraded Dana 44 front and rear axles, and Tru-Lok locking differentials. With all of the various off-roading features the Wrangler is able to take on snow, gravel, sand, or even ice. In 2018 the Wrangler received a Trail Rated badge. Additional off-roading features, include skid plates, aggressive 17-inch off-road tires, an all-new front fascia, front and rear tow hooks, and rear steel heavy-duty off-road winch-ready bumpers. Beyond these, the Wrangler also has some luxury features for a more enjoyable ride like daytime running lights, push-button start, weather-proof surround, passive entry with Keyless Go, and a 7-inch LED display.

The all-new Wrangler comes with over 75 different safety and security features. In 2018 both the center console and the glove box have locking capability for improved security of your valuables. A few other standard features include a parkview rear backup camera with dynamic gridlines, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection, four standard air bags, and electronic stability control with electronic roll mitigation. To prove how committed they are to safety, the all-new Wrangler had over 3.9 million miles of testing in various weather extremes for months on end. No other FCA US vehicle had ever gone through this level of testing before.
What engines are available under the hood?
The all-new Wrangler comes with the option of three engines. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine is still available with Engine Stop-Start, but if you are looking for something new or diesel based, 2018 provides. All-new in 2018 is the 2-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine. This engine comes ready to take on the world with efficient eTorque technology. As for the diesel option, a 3-liter EcoDiesel V6 is available soon with Engine Stop-Start for the improved fuel efficiency. All engines have the options to choose the six-speed manual transmission or opt-in for the new eight-speed automatic transmission. They offer enough power to tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds!
