What kind of features does the Reneade come with?
When choosing a Renegade trim level, there are four models to consider. The base model is called the Sport and it comes with a rearview camera, a removable cargo floor panel, cruise control, heated/power-adjustable mirrors, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, a 5-inch touchscreen, and a USB port. There are two packages loaded with features available for the Sport. The upper trims, the Latitude and Limited, add automatic headlights, keyless entry and ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic wipers, leather upholstery, and more. The Trailhawk trim level is outfitted with underbody skid plates, a raised suspension, tow hooks, all-terrain tires, and unique style elements. There are more packages available for added safety and convenience features.
Can you talk about the engine options?
There are two engine options offered for the Renegade. The base engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that generates up to 175 pound-feet of torque and 180 horsepower. This engine powers the Sport and Latitude models. The second engine is a 1.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces up to 210 pound-feet of torque and 177 horsepower. This engine powers the Limited and Trailhawk trim levels as standard but it is offered for the Sport and Latitude models. Both engines are outfitted with front-wheel-drive while four-wheel drive is available for all trim levels except the Trailhawk trim level where it is standard. The Renegade can also tow, maxing out at 2,000 pounds!
Does the Renegade come with any safety features?
No matter where the destination may be, the Renegade keeps the driver and passenger safe with over 70 standard and available safety features. This SUV offers a host of active safety and security systems that alert you to danger and can even act to avoid a collision. Those features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, and LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist. The Renegade also offers parking technologies that will make anyone a pro. They include the ParkSense Rear Park Assist, ParkSense Front Park Assist, Parallel and Perpendicular Park and Exit Assist, and the standard Parkview Rear Back Up Camera.
