2019 Challenger Hellcat Redeye Revealed

2019 Challenger Hellcat Redeye Revealed

There is no doubt about it, Dodge is the king of power and things are heating up for the 2019 model year! Dodge has announced the introduction of the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and its a beast. Adding to the already immensely powerful Hellcat line, the Redeye has earned titles like fastest grand-touring production car, quickest production muscle car, and most powerful production V8 engine! They say it's possessed by the Demon for a reason! Keep reading to learn even more about this mind-blowing new model!

What kind of power is the new Redeye model boasting underneath the hood?

The engine underneath the hood of the Redeye model comes straight from its big brother the Demon! This 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi high-output V8 engine is matched to an eight-speed TorqueFlite 8HP90 automatic transmission and it cranks out an incredible 707 pound-feet of torque and 797 horsepower. There are 25 component upgrades that help make the Redeye so powerful. They include a larger induction air box that has three intake air sources: an inlet near the wheel liner, a driver-side Air Catcher headlamp, and a new dual-snorkel hood, two dual-stage fuel pumps (instead of one), a higher rpm limit, increased boost pressure, and the largest factory supercharged of any production car. Other features that come straight from the Demon include 41-spline half shafts the provide a 20% torque capacity increase, high-strength steel prop shafts that provide a 15% torque capacity increase, and both the SRT Power Chiller and After-Run Chiller.

Are there any new design features for the Redeye model?

The Redeye is setting itself apart from other Hellcat models with stunning exterior and interior features! The exterior of the Redeye features a fully functional dual-snorkel hood that provides the optimum air intake to the supercharged engine that lies beneath it. This hood takes design cues from Dodge muscle cars produced in the mid-60s and early 70s like the 1971 Demon and 1970 Dart Swinger! Dodge is playing homage to key historical Mopar design elements from history. The Redeye also receives a new diecast SRT emblem on the engine housing (this also features the brand new Redeye logo!), a Midnight Grey Metallic finish fender badge, and additional enhanced badging with a sinister red-jewel like eye design. Moving inside the vehicle, Redeye exclusive features include an SRT Hellcat Redeye logo on the key fobs, Light Black Chrome instrument panel badge with SRT Hellcat Redeye logo, SRT Hellcat Redeye logo splash screen, and a 220-mph red speedometer!

What kind of technology is the Hellcat Redeye model equipped with?

There are so many amazing technology features for all 2019 Hellcat models, especially the Redeye! First up are the SRT Performance Pages and SRT Drive Modes. The pages let drivers have critical performance data in front of them when needed, this includes things like a g-force heat map, a real-time dyno graph and more! The drive modes, accessed via the touchscreen, let driver's tailor their driving experience by adjusting the vehicle's suspension and traction settings, paddle shifters, steering effort, transmission shift speeds, and horsepower. Other incredible features include a larger induction ar box, Line Lock, Launch Control, Torque Reserve, Launch Assist, electric powering steering, braking system, and an adaptive damping suspension!
