2020 Dodge Charger Lineup Announced

The Dodge Charger, America’s only four-door muscle car, is once again on pace to lead the U.S. large car segment in 2020! Six distinct models are available for the 2020 Charger which offer a range of performance and engine options for all the muscle-car consumers. The unique lineup ranges from the V6 power of the Charger GT rear-wheel-drive performance model and the all-wheel-drive ability of the SXT to the impeccable performance of the 707 horsepower Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and the scarce 717-horsepower Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. Dealer orders for the 2020 Charger models are starting to open now with the intent of going on sale in early 2020! Read on for info about each one.

SXT

Powerful and roomy, the Charger SXT comes with the standard 3.6-liter V6 with 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, which works with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SXT has a terrific fuel economy getting 30 mpg on the highway. Features for the SXT include a Uconnect 4 with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Keyless Enter n' Go with remote start.

GT

The GT is powered by a Pentastar V6 engine with 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque with standard eight-speed automatic transmission. In 2020, the Charger GT comes with 20-inch by 8-inch Satin Carbon wheels. The updated Performance Handling Group adds a leather flat-bottom steering wheel and 20-inch by 9-inch forged Black Noise wheels to the existing package which already has Black Brembo fixed caliper four-piston breaks and high-performance suspension.

SXT AWD

Charger SXT AWD models are powered by the Pentastar V6 engine with 300 horsepower with eight-speed automatic transmission and provides up to 27 mpg on the highway. It also comes with the segment's most technologically advanced all-wheel-drive system with an active transfer case and front-axle disconnect system to improve fuel economy.

R/T

With the only V8 in its class, the R/T comes with the iconic 5.7-liter V8 with 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Coming standard is the 20-inch by 8-inch Satin Carbon wheels and new fender badges with a modern interpretation of iconic HEMI script.

Scat Pack

Offering the most bang for your buck, the Charger Scat Pack is powered by the 392 HEMI V8 with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. New for 2020, is an updated Dynamics Package which adds a new leather flat-bottom steering wheel to the existing package. Which comes with Black Brembo six-piston front brakes and 20-inch by 9.5-inch Low-gloss Black wheels. Also included is interior instrument panel badging, a Carbon & Suede interior Package, a Carmel color Nappa leather/Alcantara interior and new wheel options.

Scat Pack Widebody

After the successful introduction of the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody in 2019, Dodge has brought the Widebody to the Charger Scat Pack for 2020. The Charger Scat Pack Widebody comes with the 392-cubic-inch HEMI V8 with 485 horsepower. The Widebody builds on the incredible attributes of the Scat Pack by improving the street, strip, and road course performance. It goes 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and a quarter-mile ET in 12.4 seconds at 111 mph.

SRT Hellcat

The Hellcat continues its reign as the most powerful and fastest sedan mass-produced sedan in the world with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It can go 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and has a quarter-mile time of 10.96 seconds at a top speed of 196 mph. For the first time, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody features electric power steering making it easier to turn at parking lot speeds. The steering of the Hellcat can also be calibrated with settings in the SRT Performance Pages to optimize steering effort for a variety of driving situations. The exterior of the Hellcat Widebody receives a newly designed front fascia which includes a new mail-slot grille which provides the most direct route for cold air to travel into the radiator.

Daytona 50th Anniversary

Paying tribute to the 1969 Charger Daytona, the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition will have a limited production of 501 units. It comes with a unique “Daytona” decklid and rear-quarter decal with matching spoiler and is available in four paint colors. The engine is a 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine with 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
