2020 Jeep Compass vs 2020 Nissan Rogue

SUVs are one of the most popular types of vehicles on the market right now, which means there a ton to choose from. This can make it pretty hard to find the model that best meets all your wants and needs. We have created this comparison review to help you narrow down the busy segment. On the left, we have the versatile and incredibly capable 2020 Jeep Compass and to the right, we have the stylish 2020 Nissan Rogue. Both of these SUVs have a ton to offer and we are breaking it all down to help you make the most informed decision, so keep reading!

2020 Jeep Compass Power & Handling

Each Jeep Compass trim level is powered by the same stellar trim level in the 2020 model year. This 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 4-cylinder engine produces 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. There are three transmissions offered. The standard is a 6-speed manual but the options include a 6-speed automatic for front-wheel-drive models and a 9-speed automatic for four-wheel-drive models. That’s right, the Compass can be outfitted with standard front-wheel-drive or available four-wheel-drive on all trim levels except the Trailhawk where it is standard. Each model with an automatic transmission also gets engine start/stop technology for better fuel economy! For all your towing needs, 4WD Compass models can handle up to 2,000 pounds.

2020 Nissan Rogue Power & Handling

Just like the Compass, the 2020 Nissan Rogue is only powered by one engine. This 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. There is only one transmission option offered for this engine and it is continuously variable automatic. Front-wheel-drive is the standard drivetrain configuration but all-wheel-drive is available. When it comes to towing, the Rogue is lacking, maxing out at 1,102 pounds.

2020 Jeep Compass Features & Design

The Jeep Compass is offered in a total of four trim levels for the 2020 model year. The base Sport model comes outfitted with features like height-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, smartphone integration, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, first- and second-row USB ports, and a 6-speaker sound system. The Latitude and Limited trim levels expand on the Sport’s offerings with features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry and ignition, roof rails, alloy wheels, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, remote engine start, a power driver’s seat, and more! The Trailhawk trim level goes off-roading with features like all-terrain tires, a Selec-Terrain management system, skid plates, and a raised suspension.

2020 Nissan Rogue Features & Design

There are only three Rogue trim levels to choose from the 2020 model year. The base S model is outfitted with features like smartphone integration, a 7-inch touchscreen, folding rear seat with 40/20/40 split, and blind-spot monitoring. The SV and SL trim levels add heated front seats, a hands-free liftgate, parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, a premium sound system, and navigation.

Conclusion:

It is pretty easy to see that the Nissan Rogue just has nothing on the 2020 Jeep Compass! The Compass offers an additional off-roading-oriented trim level, tons of great features, a more powerful engine, and four-wheel-drive!
