There are four main engine options available for the Ram 1500. The first option is a 3.6-liter V6 engine with eTorque and delivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and has a towing capacity of up to 7,730 pounds! The next engine available is the 3.0-liter Ecodiesel engine, pumping out 260 horsepower and a best-in-class 480 lb-ft of diesel torque, and a towing capacity of 12,560 pounds making it both efficient and very powerful! Next up is the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine which delivers an incredible 395 horses and 410 lb-ft of torque! This powerful engine has a towing capacity of up to 11,610 pounds, all the power you have come to know and love from a HEMI engine. Finally, there is the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine which is exclusively available for the Ram 1500 TRX. This monster engine delivers a whopping 702 horsepower, and 650 lb-ft of torque, and goes 0-60 in 4.5 seconds!
Can you tell me about the 1500's safety features?
The Ram 1500 is equipped with many safety and security features to give you peace of mind while driving. Some of these available features include Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection, a system that checks the blindspots beside and behind your Ram 1500 to make sure that your trailer is being safely operated, and does so in part by sensing and monitoring the length of your trailer. 360° Surround View Camera gives you a full picture of everything surrounding your Ram 1500 and is extremely helpful to navigate tight parking spots, as well as makes it safe and easy to load, unload, or hook up your trailer. Smart Braking technology with available Forward Collision Warning with Active braking allows your Ram 1500 to sense vehicles in front of it and determine whether there is a potential accident. If you are approaching the vehicle ahead of you too rapidly, the Ram 1500 will engage the brakes automatically to keep you from being involved in a collision.
