What engines can I get with the Cherokee?
Drivers have three engines to choose from with the Jeep Cherokee, and drivers can expect immense power with each one! The first engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that pumps out an incredible 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. The higher you go up the trim ladder, the more powerful engines you get! On the Latitude Lux trim, you have the option of two more powerful engines, with the first being a 3.2-liter V6 which pumps out a spectacular 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque, and the second a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder which delivers drivers 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is teh default setup, but all-wheel-drive is available for those who want some traction. All-wheel-drive is standard with higher trims of the Cherokee!
What is standard on the base trim of the Cherokee?
Now that we have covered all the spectacular engine options that the Cherokee has, let's get into all of its outstanding features! Even at the base trim level, the Cherokee is very well-equipped as the Altitude comes with cloth/premium vinyl seats, air conditioning, cruise control, dual USB ports, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and LED lighting. What do higher trims of the Cherokee come with?
The higher you go up the Cherokee trim mountain, the more advanced features you will be treated to. The first trim we want to take a look at is the Latitude Lux which has leather seats, a 115V power outlet, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch TFT color display in the gauge cluster, a power liftgate, and a universal garage door opener. Brand new to the Cherokee lineup is the X trim made for beginner off-roaders as you get Active Drive I AWD system with Selec-Terrain; you also get cloth seats. If you're more of an experienced off-roader, you'll want to check out the Trailhawk trim as it has unique wheels, a black hood decal, available skid plates, and red tow hooks. You also get an Active Drive II AWD system with a 2-speed transfer case, all-terrain tires, hill descent control, and Selec-Speed control. Is it luxury you're after? Then check out the Limited trim!
