What are some of the engines for the Wrangler?
The Wrangler is available with five different engine options, and they are designed for terrific fuel economy and tons of power. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers an impeccable 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. You can pair this engine with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. Both provide you with an outstandingly smooth ride. The first available option is a turbocharged 2,0-liter four-cylinder engine that gets you 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. You can get this engine in either two or four-door configurations, while the other engines are available for four-door configurations. The diesel option is a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 that will get you around 260 horsepower and an outstanding 442 lb-ft of torque. Then there is the ultra-powerful 6.4-liter V8 that has 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines come with an automatic transmission. The final engine is what Jeep calls the 4xe. It's a hybrid engine that takes the turbocharged 2.0-liter and adds hybrid elements such as electric motors to produce 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. No matter what you're looking for, the Wrangler has an engine for that!
Can you talk about some of the Wrangler's available features?
We sure can! There are four impressive trim levels available for the Wrangler, and each comes with a fantastic amount of features. The base trim is the Sport which comes with foglights, tow hooks, skid plates, 17-inch steel wheels, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. More exciting items are available for the Sport S as it has alloy wheels and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you want something in four-doors, try the Sahara trim, which comes with body-colored grille and fender flairs, 18-inch wheels, full-time four-wheel-drive, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, and an upgraded driver information display. The final trim, the Rubicon, is dedicated to off-roading as it has all the latest off-road equipment, including 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty front and rear axles, locking front and rear differentials, and rock rails. There is a variant to the Rubicon known as the 392, which adds to the already outstanding Rubicon with high-performance electronic brakes, a 2-inch suspension lift, and Fox shock absorbers.
What safety features are available for the Wrangler?
While drivers get the Wrangler for its powerful engine options and off-road features, the Wrangler also has several safety items to keep you secure on the road. Coming standard is a Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Path Detection, which will monitor the areas beside and behind the Wrangler so you can back the SUV up a little easier and change lanes without the fear of a crash. Also standard is an Adaptive Cruise Control System which will keep your Wrangler at a pre-set distance between it and the vehicle in front of it. Finally, the Forward Collision Mitigation System will warn you of an impending frontal collision and will even apply the brakes if you fail to do so!
