What are the engines of the 2022 Ram 1500?
Several engine options are available for the 2022 Ram 1500, and each one delivers a ton of available power. Most will come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 that doles out up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This power can be up to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque thanks to the optional 5.7-liter V8. Both of these engines are available with an eTorque system that improves the fuel economy and has engine restarts that are very smooth thanks to its 48-volt battery. Best of all, the Ram 1500 has a diesel engine option, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that pumps out 260 horsepower, and a spectacular 480 lb-ft of torque. The engine also gets an incredible fuel economy of up to 33 mpg. Last year, the Ram TRX was introduced, and it returns this year, and it's bringing its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque along with it. Each of these engines pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Towing and hauling is no problem for the Ram 1500 as it can tow up to 12,750 pounds with a payload capacity of 2,300 pounds.
What are some features of the 2022 Ram 1500?
As typical of a Ram 1500, tons of fantastic features are available throughout its six trim lineup. Things start with the well-equipped Tradesman, which comes with 18-inch wheels, a 23-gallon gas tank, active grille shutters, coil-spring suspension, and trailer-sway control. For some added comfort and performance, the Tradesman also comes with heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. The spectacular Limited tenth-anniversary edition is new to the Ram lineup with 22-inch alloy wheels, quilted leather upholstery, suede headliner, jeweled shifter knob, and a 19-speaker audio system. No matter which version of the Ram 1500 you have, it will come standard with a Ram Clean Air System that will filter out 95% percent of all airborne particles making for the cleanest cabin in Rams history!
New Advanced Tech for the Ram 1500
On the Big Horn and above, the Ram 1500 comes with the latest version of the Uconnect system, which has five times faster speeds than the previous version and three times more memory. You also get several outstanding features such as Wi-Fi and tow-specific navigation. This new Uconnect system comes in excellent, especially on the 12-inch touchscreen with large icons and intuitive touch controls. In addition, if you get the Trailer Tow Group, you will have LED lights that will illuminate the trailer hitch area from right above the pickup. This will help you see the hitch at night while you're backing up Ram's electronic trailer reverse steering control, which features a knob that controls all of the steering inputs.
