The 2022 Wagoneer will debut in two available trim levels, the Series II and Series III, with the additional availability of a Series I trim forthcoming. All Wagoneers will feature a robust body-on-frame design with three rows of seats, 27.4 cubic feet of rear cargo storage, and space for up to eight passengers. The main difference between the Series II and III is that the latter has more standard off-roading features, such as 4-wheel drive, Quadra-Lift air suspension, a 2-speed transfer case, and 4 underbody skid plates. However, despite being the “entry-level” trim, the Series II is far from bare-bones. Standard features include buttery Nappa leather-trimmed seating, your choice of rear-wheel or 4-wheel drive, and tri-zone automatic climate control. That’s not to mention the extensive array of premium features like a massive three-pane panoramic sunroof, exclusive McIntosh audio system, and Head-Up Display.

The 2022 Wagoneer utilizes cutting-edge technology to underscore its sense of luxury and convenience. The front dashboard features a new Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen which includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa connectivity, as well as a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and available charging for two devices at once. Brand new for 2021 is the Amazon Fire for Auto system, which allows passengers to stream their favorite movies and TV shows on the road via the available Rear Seat Entertainment screens. This “Home-to-Car” system allows you to start watching at home, then get in the car and resume right where you left off. There’s also an available Passenger Display that provides the front passenger with their own touchscreen console for apps, music, TV and movies, navigation, and more. The screen has a special anti-glare surface that protects the driver from any distractions. That’s not to mention the Wagoneer’s extensive list of active safety features, like rear cross-traffic alert which comes standard on all models. This feature uses rearview cameras to alert the driver to anything in their path while backing up, and preventing a possible accident. If necessary, the standard automatic emergency braking feature will bring the car to a complete stop in order to avoid a collision. 

In short, it’s excellent! The Wagoneer combines all the style and refinement of a premium SUV with the capability and athleticism of a Jeep. It’s perfect camping or road tripping with the family, where you can keep everyone safe and comfortable inside, while braving the elements with ease on the outside. The Wagoneer comes standard with a 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with an 8-speed mild-hybrid automatic transmission. This powertrain provides a hefty 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque while constantly working to conserve energy and improve fuel efficiency. There are also three signature Jeep 4X4 systems available, those being the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. The latter two systems will also include the Selec-Terrain traction management system, which allows drivers their choice of five modes: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Sand/Mud. The available Trailer Tow package enhances the Wagoneer’s performance even more, adding additional equipment like tow hooks and a rear back-up camera. When properly equipped, the Wagoneer boasts a maximum towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds!
