2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
If you're in the market for a new vehicle, you've likely considered what SUVs can offer. While the SUVs on the market today are more competitive than ever, you may be best served by opting for one that can host a variety of adventures. That's where the new Grand Cherokee shines the brightest, as it offers all the tech and interior features you crave alongside impressive off-road capabilities. Learn about everything the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee has to offer.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
A variety of unique trim levels are available for the Grand Cherokee, each with its own set of exterior features. It all begins with the Laredo trim, which comes with LED headlights and taillights and 17-inch wheels. Next up is the Altitude, which comes with black roof rails and a power liftgate, and the Limited, which adds on LED fog lights.
If you're looking for more substantial upgrades, the Overland trim is a great starting point. It features 20-inch wheels, a standard sunroof, and rain-sensing wipers. Ultimately, the Summit and the Summit Reserve have the most exterior features, including 21-inch wheels if you opt for the Summit Reserve. Of course, you can also opt for the 4xe, which is the hybrid electric version of the Grand Cherokee.
Engine (Power)
With three engine options at your disposal, you'll have no problem finding the right power source for your Grand Cherokee. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 that puts out 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. You can boost your Grand Cherokee's power by opting for the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and its 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the third engine is a hybrid 2.0-liter inline-four that's combined with electric motors to offer up to 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
As you might expect from a Jeep, the Grand Cherokee excels when it comes to off-road performance. The Selec-Terrain Traction Management system is particularly impressive, as it can alter your drivetrain on the fly in response to varying driving conditions. Available settings include Sport, Auto, Mud/Sand, Rock, and Snow. The Grand Cherokee also offers a Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system that can increase ground clearance off-road and decrease ground clearance on the highway for better aerodynamics.
Interior
The Grand Cherokee is available in both two- and three-row models, and you can enjoy a variety of luxurious features no matter which size or trim you choose, including available 16-way power adjustable seats with a massage mode. Plus, the Grand Cherokee offers up to 84.6 cubic feet of cargo space when you fold the rear seats down in the three-row model and 70.8 cubic feet in the two-row model. In terms of technology, you'll find a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen interface with the option to upgrade to a 10.1-inch screen. Either way, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
Safety Features
The Grand Cherokee comes with many safety features, though the available Active Driving Assist system tends to stand out. This system works by using radar and sensors to ensure your Grand Cherokee keeps a safe distance from other vehicles. Adaptive cruise control augments this further. You can also outfit your SUV with a forward collision warning system that comes with automatic emergency braking, which will apply the brakes for you if an imminent collision is detected.
