Challenger 50th Anniversary Edition to Arrive

Each and every Challenger 50th Anniversary boasts a custom look that comes straight from the factory. Features that make this look possible include a Satin Black fuel-filler door with heritage “FUEL” lettering, Gold School fender badges, Challenger 50th Anniversary logo badges on the grille and spoiler in the Gold School finish, and Satin Black hand-painted hood, decklid, and roof. To celebrate even further, the 50th Anniversary boasts a new color named Gold Rush. There are six other colors offered for the special edition including, Frostbite, Go Mango, Hellraisin, F8 Green, Sinamon Stick, and TorRed.

 

Moving inside, the 50th Anniversary details extend to the steering wheel, startup screens, instrument panel, door bolsters, gauge faces, and even the floor mats. The cabin also features heated/ventilated black Nappa leather and Alcantara suede performance seats with the “50” logo embroidered on the seat backs. The Sepia accent stitching extends throughout the cabin on the armrest, door panels, steering wheel, and more. 

As we briefly covered above, the 50th Anniversary Challenger is offered in the GT RWD, R/T Shaker, R/T Scat Pack Shaker and the R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody trim levels. 

 

GT RWD: The first model that is offered in the limited 50th Anniversary Edition is the GT RWD trim. Dodge outfits this model with performance bolstered seats, enhanced steering, a performance hood and front splitter, 20x9-inch wheels, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and a performance suspension. This model is powered by the Pentastar 3.6L V6 that cranks out 303 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. 

 

R/T: This model can be powered by a naturally aspirated 392 Hemi V8 that generates 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission while an automatic TorqueFlite 8-speed transmission is offered. Features for this trim include four-piston Brembo brakes, a performance hood with front splitter, enhanced steering, and performance bolstered seats. 

 

R/T Scat Pack: The next available trim level is the R/T Scat Pack which is powered by the same 392 Hemi V8 engine and transmission options. Features include a dual-extractor hood, 20x9.5-inch wheels, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, four-piston Brembo brakes, SRT Performance pages with Line Lock and drive modes, and a high-performance suspension. 

 

R/T Scat Pack Widebody: Adding 3.5-inches to the overall width, the Scat Pack Widebody trim level rides on Pirelli tires and an SRT-tuned chassis. Other features include stiffer front springs, an SRT-tuned high-performance adaptive damping suspension, retuned shock absorbers, and more. This model is capable of delivering its best on-track performance ever!
