Powertrains

Under the hood of the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat, you will find a 6.2-liter Hemi supercharged V8 that delivers a best-in-class 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. With this engine, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat can achieve a top speed of 196 miles per hour! This beast can also take on the quarter-mile in 10.96 seconds pulling .96 gs on the skidpad. This makes the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody the best-handling and quickest production Charger SRT Hellcat ever!

The Charger Scat Pack model houses a 392 Hemi V8 engine that cranks out the best-in-class naturally aspirated 485 horsepower. Dodge pairs this engine with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. This model can sail from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.3 seconds, running the quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds. This ride pulls .98 gs on the skidpad making it the best-handling and quickest Charger Scat pack ever offered!

The Package

The Widebody package comes standard on the Charger SRT Hellcat models and is available for the Scat Pack trim level. This package equips the Charger with new integrated fender flares that add a total of 3.5-inches of width to the body. These fender flares make room for wider wheels that measure 20-inches by 11-inches. They come wrapped in Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires. Also included in the package is unique suspension tuning with Bilstein 3-mode adaptive damping and Brembo six-piston front calipers with two-piece front brake rotors.

Technology

There are four race-inspired technologies that come standard for the 2020 model year. The first is Launch Assist. This feature uses wheel speed sensors to watch out for driveline-damaging wheel hop at the launch and modifies the engine torque in milliseconds to regain full grip. Launch Control also comes standard for the 2020 mdoel year. This feature is accessible from the dashboard via a switch, managing the tire slip when launching so that the Charger can achieve consistent acceleration on a straight line. Line Lock puts the front brakes to work to hold the Charger stationary, leaving the rear wheels free for cleaning with a burnout! The final tech feature the at comes standard is Race Cooldown. This technology helps keep the air cooler keeping cooling the supercharger by running the radiator fan and intercooler pump even after the engine has been shut off.
