The Ram 1500 has a lot of power that is capable of towing a lot of heavy-duty equipment behind it. The standard engine for the Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that is capable of making up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The Pentastar engine is also available with or without eTorque technology. The next engine available in the lineup is the highly-capable 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with or without eTorque that is capable of pumping out 295 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. When equipped properly the Ram 1500 with the Hemi engine can tow up to 12,750 pounds. The last engine in the lineup is the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 that outputs 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque.
