The 2023 Dodge Hornet is incredibly buzzworthy with its distinctive muscular styling that is uniquely wrapped around a performance that is the best in the class with its multi-energy powertrain roster. High-Energy Powertrains
When it comes to power, Dodge is holding nothing back with the 2023 Hornet. Both engines will provide you with best-in-class performance, and the new Powershot will give you a boost if you go with the Hornet R/T, which comes with Dodge's first-ever electrified engine. The Hornet R/T PHEV has a segment-leading 285 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, which you can get with the spectacular turbocharged 1.3-liter all-aluminum engine. In addition to the power of this engine, this turbocharged electric engine also comes with 30 miles of all-electric range, which is among the best in the class. The Hornet also comes with a Sport Mode, which is performance focused and easy to access thanks to the button on the center console and is used to unlock a sharper throttle-optimized shift schedule, access to the hybrid system's optimized power and torque, and a tighter steering wheel. Meanwhile, the GT of the Hornet comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gets you 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
A Digital Hornet Expierience
In addition to the kind of power that the Hornet provides, the Hornet also comes with a ton of advanced tech features designed to make your driving experience that much better. One advancement is a 12.3-inch digital cockpit cluster screen and a standard 10.25-inch Uconnect 5 system with a central display. Once you combine these two screens, the Hornet provides up to 22.5 inches of screen space. Also, the cockpit cluster display has three separate information zones, allowing the driver to switch between different display graphics. Also, the Uconnect 5 system comes standard on all trims of the Dodge Hornet and is an Android-based system that is both easy to use and comes with home screen layouts, music preferences, HVAC controls, seat positions, and more. In addition, you can connect two phones simultaneously to the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional tech features include a new Harmon Kardon audio system, wireless charging, and more safety and tech features such as rain-sensing wipers, a rear seat reminder system, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection.
Inside Touches for the Hornet
When you go further inside the cabin, the Hornet continues to shine as you will be looking at an instrument panel with a wrapped and stitched mid-bolster extending to the instrument panel. There is also red stitching that comes standard on both trims of the Hornet and flows nicely through the black interior, including the mid-bolster, seats, and armrest. There are also accents on the vents and the center switches, which provide the Hornet with several slim and technical details that further enhance the performance of the interior. But that's not all! There are also other touches, such as Alcantara seats and Ignition Contol, which is placed at your fingertips with a button of the flat-bottom steering wheel and allows drivers to choose from Sport and Standard drive modes.
