Power for the 2022 Durango
A wide range of engine options is available on the five trim levels, including the SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and the impressive 475 horsepower SRT 392. The SRT 392 is America's most powerful and fastest three-row SUV as a fantastic V8 engine powers it. Throughout the lineup, the 2022 Durango has the best towing ability in its class. Ranging from the efficient V6 to the SRT 39's V8 performance, the Durango is a muscle car in the body of an SUV, and even the V6 can tow as much as 6,200 pounds. Want a little more towing prowess? The V8 allows you to haul up to 8,700 pounds!
New for the 2022 Durango
In 2022, the Durango comes with Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear-Cross Path Detection throughout the lineup, and the SXT and the GT offer drivers and passengers even more available features. On the SXT, you get three-row, seven-passenger seating, a power driver's seat, and the ParkSense rear park assist system. The GT gets a remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, and power liftgate. If you go with the Plus Group, there are a few new features, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Advanced Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning Plus. Also seeing upgrades are the GT Plus and the R/T Plus, which sake things up with a memory system, rain-sensing automatic wipers, bright cargo area scuff plates, leather seats, sunroof, Forward Collision Warning Active Braking, Harman Kardon premium audio. Finally, the Blacktop Edition now gets a performance hood and performance all-season tires.
Unmatched Road Performance
With the Dodge Durango's rear-wheel-drive setup, you get unmatched on-road performance, as it provides an outstanding weight balance from the front to the rear and improving the power transfer to each wheel. Available is an all-wheel-drive system designed to enhance the driver's confidence further as it leverages the Durango's 50/50 weight distribution. On the Durango SRT 392, you will get standard all-wheel-drive that will significantly enhance traction and handling. If you get a Durango that comes with the V8 engine, not only does the all-wheel-drive come standard, but so does the Trailer Tow Package, which features a low transfer case.
Uconnect 5 System
The Durango offers drivers something special with the Uconnect 5 system with speeds that are five times faster than the previous version and delivers more connected, helpful, content-rich, and comes with greater customization, making it the most advanced Uconnect system ever created. Two unique appearances are available for the Durango, including a special Dodge-themed appearance with black and red accents with a vehicle icon on the category bar. In addition, there are a few easter eggs on the SRT model, such as an SRT "smoke-show" start-up animation and a climate control page that features an adjustable climate control icon and "Mode person" with a race helmet.
Safety Systems of the Dodge Durango
Over 60 safety and security features are available for the 2022 Durango, including the standard Blind-Spot Monitoring, seven standard airbags, full-length three-row side-curtain airbags, and standard front-seat-mounted side-thorax airbags, and front-row active head restraints.
