This engine is outfitted with standard RWD while AWD is available and the standard eight-speed automatic transmission. More power can be found with the available 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that delivers up to 410 pound-feet of torque and 375 horsepower. A 6.4-liter V8 engine is also available pumping out up to 475 lb-ft of torque and 485 hp. The performance models, the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye are powered by their own engines. The SRT Hellcat gets a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 that produces 656 lb-ft of torque and 717 hp while the SRT Hellcat Redeye gest a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 that pumps out 707 lb-ft of torque and 797 hp. All V8 engines are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and RWD but a six-speed manual transmission is available.

The SRT Hellcat also benefits from Torque Reserve which bumps torque up by 55 percent at launch and delivers up to 3.9 psi of boost, the industry-first SRT Power Chiller and After-Rune Chiller to cool the engine!

The Challenger is offered in six trim levels and they include the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T392, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye.
