The Car and Driver Media Group has named the 2022 Ram 1500 truck to its 10Best vehicle list for 2022. This is the fourth consecutive year the Ram 1500 has earned the prestigious award.
“Making the list for the fourth consecutive year – the third consecutive year as the only pickup truck – the Ram 1500 continues to be shockingly quiet and is still hands-down the best driving pickup truck,” said Sharon Silke Carty, editor-in-chief, Car and Driver. “There’s great breadth to the lineup, every model accomplishes any task thrown at it. We really appreciate all the work the Ram team has done to make it enjoyable to drive.”

Car and Driver is an American automotive media property. Owned by Hearst Magazines, the total circulation of Car and Driver magazine is 1.23 million.
Car and Driver was founded as Sports Cars Illustrated in 1955. In its early years, the magazine focused primarily on imported sports cars. In 1961, the magazine’s title was changed to Car and Driver to show a more general automotive focus. Originally headquartered in New York City, the magazine is now based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Car and Driver magazine is also published in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK. The Spanish version uses the Car and Driver name but no editorial direction is shared with the US version. The Middle Eastern edition also uses the Car and Driver name but develops its own content generated by ITP Publishing based in Dubai.

Inaugurated in 1983, Car and Driver's 10Best winners are picked after an exhaustive evaluation of a year’s new or refreshed models. Each year the editors drive and test more than 70 cars, trucks, SUVs and vans and rather than electing a single “vehicle of the year, the editors publishes its top ten picks each year.
Car and Driver evaluates each contender versus its peers using a 100-point scale, basing each score on how well it meets its intended purpose and how good a value it represents.
