Can you tell us about TRUCK TREND and how they picked the winner?

TRUCK TREND is a media brand of MotorTrend Group, founded in 1998 as an offshoot of MOTOR TREND which is an internationally recognized automotive brand. As the leading authority on light trucks, TRUCK TREND is an industry leader and currently has a total audience of 2.1 million people! The brand reports and tests on SUVs and crossovers, with a heavy emphasis on pickup trucks. They provide vital information about these vehicles to truck enthusiasts and new-model shippers alike!

In order to choose the pickup of the year, they had to put them to the test! TRUCK TREND picked eight trucks to undergo 1,300 miles of grueling performance tests in the state of California! This demanding test included off-roading, fuel economy calculation, towing, hauling, and performance testing. These are areas that truck owners expect their vehicles to deliver with gusto. The judges from TRUCK TREND spent a lot of time with each truck so they could develop informed opinions on factors like build quality, technology and usability, seat comfort, and interior ergonomics. The Ram 1500 came out on top in every way!

Can you tell us more about the 2019 Ram 1500?
