Trim Levels of the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee has seven trim levels available: the Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT, and Trackhawk. Each will prove itself a fine vehicle with a finer selection of features to offer. Most of the trims are available with your choice of rear- or four-wheel-drive, the exceptions being the Trailhawk that only comes in four-wheel-drive and the duo of Trackhawk and SRT getting their own specialized all-wheel-drive systems.

The base Laredo trim comes with a 6-speaker sound system, 17-inch wheels, smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android auto enabled devices, rear parking sensors, 7-inch touchscreen, both keyless entry and ignition, and climate control. The Laredo also comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that reaches 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

If a few more creature comforts would be welcome, the Limited trim might right for you. Building on the Laredo’s standard equipment, the Limited gains driver-seat memory settings, 18-inch wheels, power-adjustable front seats, remote start, leather upholstery, auto-dimming rearview and driver-side mirrors, heated seating, a power liftgate, heated steering wheel, and a 115-vold power outlet. Beginning with the Limited trim you have the option to choose the standard V6 engine or between a 3-liter turbodiesel V6 with 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 with 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

The Trailhawk trim takes the Grand Cherokee and makes it off-road-oriented. Building off the Limited trim, the Trailhawk then gains an upgraded instrument cluster display, a selection of unique exterior styling flourishes, underbody skid plates, 18-inch wheels with off-road tires, hill descent and ascent control, four-wheel drive, an adjustable air suspension, and an electronic rear differential with a terrain-selectable traction control system.

The Grand Cherokee’s next trim is the Overland. The Overland is similar in equipment to the Trailhawk, with the exception of its off-roading features being dropped in exchange for more pavement-centered driving capabilities.

The Summit trim is the next rung of the trim ladder, and is one of the most luxury-laden trims of the line. The Summit begins with the Overland’s standard set of features and equipment, then adds a 19-piece Harman Kardon speaker system, 20-inch polished wheels, upgraded leather upholstery, self-parking, a series of advanced safety features, noise-reducing glass, and active noise-canceling technology.

The SRT trim is the high-horsepower standout of the line thanks to its 6.4-liter V8 engine that pups out 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque and a high-performance tuned all-wheel-drive system. The SRT also features selectable performance modes, performance tires on 20-inch wheels, limited-slip rear differential, a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, sport body kit, and sport-tuned brakes and steering.

The last trim on the Grand Cherokee’s list comes in the form of the Trackhawk. The Trackhawk starts with the lion’s share of the SRT’s standard list of equipment, but then gains a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 for 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque along with an upgraded 8-speed transmission. Additionally, the Trackhawk also gains unique interior design elements, an upgraded adaptive suspension, high-performance tires on lightweight 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes and more aggressive-looking bodywork.
