Boasting a bold style, reminiscent of the Grand Cherokee, and a modern cabin loaded with features that keep everyone connected and comfortable, the Compass is a true oasis from the outside world. This SUV also comes with safety and security features that are always two-steps ahead and Jeep’s iconic off-roading capabilities that are ready for the unexpected. The Compass is available in four stunning trim levels for the 2020 model year and we are breaking down exactly what they have to offer below to help you decide which one best suits your needs, so keep reading!

The Powertrain:

Lift up the hood of any Compass trim level and you will find a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that delivers 175 lb-ft of torque and 180 hp. The standard drivetrain configuration is FWD but all 4WD is offered for all trims except the Trailhawk, where it is standard. The Sport and Latitude trim levels use a 6-speed manual transmission while other FWD models gain a 6-speed automatic and 4WD models utilize a 9-speed automatic.

The 2020 Jeep Compass Trim Lineup:

Sport: Starting off the Compass lineup is the entry-level Sport model. Jeep outfits this trim level with first- and second-row USB ports, heated exterior mirrors, a 7-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, height-adjustable front seats, Apple and Android smartphone integration, a 6-speaker sound system, and a rear bench seat with 60/40-split.

Latitude: Building off what the Sport model has to offer, the Latitude trim level adds keyless entry and ignition, roof rails, satellite radio, upgraded cloth upholstery with simulated leather accents, rear air vents, and alloy wheels.

Limited: The most comprehensively-equipped Compass model is the Limited, Taking on most of the features from the Sport and Latitude trims, the Limited model adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, remote engine start, a heated steering wheel, a color information display, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 115-volt household-style power outlet, a power driver’s seat, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen.

Trailhawk: The Trailhawk trim level sets itself apart from the rest of the lineup with features like standard four-wheel drive, a selec-terrain management dial with multiple modes, a raised suspension, underbody skid plates, and off-road-oriented tires.

Features and Packages:

The Compass trim levels can be outfitted with even more features via packages. The Safety and Security Group and the Advanced Safety Group outfit the SUV with advanced driver assistance equipment. Stand-alone features offered include xenon headlights, navigation, a Alpine 9-speaker sound system, a power liftgate, and a sunroof.
