Last Call for the Dodge Charger

Dodge has added a special commemorative plaque under the hood to the 2023 Charger that says “Last Call.” This has made it clear that we’re looking at the final model year for this car, and there are a lot of mixed feelings about that. The future will probably feature an electric powertrain. The 2023 model has fun, nostalgia-inspired options, like heritage colors including B5 Blue, Sublime Green, Plum Crazy, and Destroyer Gray.

There is also a badge for 345 on the front fender in the R/T models. This is a marker for the V-8 engine. It will be interesting to see where Dodge goes in the future. At this moment, this car definitely represents a moment for looking back at the past.

The Four-Door Muscle Car With V-8

The standard Charger comes with a 292-hp V-6 engine with rear-wheel drive but the option for all-wheel drive. When we get into the R/T trims, we find a 370-hp 5.7 liter V-8 engine. This is a classic-style engine that gets talked about a lot and is probably on the way out, so it’s a pretty special option right now. The Scat Pack trims go a little harder yet with a 6.4-liter 485-hp V-8.

There are also Hellcat models with supercharged V-8 engines. These cars can be pushed to the limit of what muscle cars can do. They offer a lot of horsepower and will appeal to muscle car enthusiasts wanting the most they can get.

Infotainment

The base model Charger comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen and the Uconnect system. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The lower trim models come with a standard six-speaker sound system.

The upper trim levels get an 8.4-inch touchscreen. There are also knobs and buttons on the side and the entire system is very easy to use and intuitive. The upper trim levels also get a 19-speaker sound system from Harman Kardon that carries a lot of power. You will not have a difficult time hearing your sound system over your powerful V-8 engine.

Driver-Assistance Technology

The base model Charger comes with options to add some driver-assistance technology. There are available options for blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and forward-collision warning. There are also available options for lane-departure warnings and lane-keeping assistance.

The upper-trim Hellcats come standard with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. They also come standard with rear parking sensors.

The new Charger marks a historic moment for muscle car enthusiasts. As a four-door sedan, it also works as a fun and powerful family car. The commemorative touches and color options make the 2023 model a fun option for enthusiasts. Visit DCH Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Temecula now to see our selection of new cars.
