Trim Levels of the 2023 Jeep Wrangler

Discover the Lineup Here!

The Jeep Wrangler is a product of 80-plus years of hard work and determination to provide the most capable and stylish off-road machine on the market. The 2023 Wrangler is the result of all of that hard work, and its trim-level lineup is the proof. The best thing about the Wrangler lineup is the fact that there is a Wrangler for every driver. You can have the Wrangler as basic as the Sport trim, as rugged as the Rubicon trim, or as fancy as the High Altitude trim. Continue reading below to learn more about these trim levels and others to select the perfect Wrangler for you!

Sport

The Wrangler Sport kicks off the lineup with all the features you need for just about any on or off-road adventure. The Wrangler Sport comes with a 3.6L V6 engine, 6-speed manual transmission, and Command-Trac 4x4 for optimal performance in any driving condition. As always, the Wrangler comes standard with removable doors, a removable soft top, and a fold-down windshield. Additionally, two doors come standard with the Wrangler Sport, while the Unlimited (four-door) body is available. Other exterior features for the Wrangler Sport include black fender flares, Dana 44 solid axles, black 17-inch steel wheels, black bumpers, and underbody skid plates. Meanwhile, getting inside the Wrangler Sport, you’ll find eight speakers, cloth upholstery, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, push-button ignition, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Willys

The inspiration for the Wrangler Willys trim can be traced back to 1942, when Willys Overland created the Jeep MB after being contracted by the U.S. Army for agile half-ton 4x4s to transport troops and weapons during World War II. The Willys trim stands out with its name on a decal on the side of the hood in big, bold military-style lettering. Additionally, it offers rugged exterior features to enhance its capabilities and capture its heritage, including aggressive 32-inch mud-terrain tires, off-road-tuned shock absorbers, a limited-slip rear differential, LED lighting, black bumpers, a black grille, rock rails, and all-weather floor mats.

Sahara

The Sahara trim brings more of a premium feel to the Wrangler lineup. To do this, it adds 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color fender flares, body-color side mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, nine-speaker Alpine premium audio, and comes standard with the Unlimited body style. Additionally, the Sahara trim swaps out the V6 engine with a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine. It also changes the transmission from a 6-speed manual to an 8-speed automatic and the 4x4 system from Command-Trac part-time 4x4 to Selec-Trac full-time 4x4.

Rubicon

You cannot speak on the Wrangler lineup without bringing up the Rubicon trim. Capturing the essence of what it means to be a Jeep Wrangler, the Rubicon is the most rugged trim level, getting its name from the Rubicon Trail, one of America’s toughest off-roading trails. What makes the Wrangler Rubicon so special, you ask? Well, for one, it features Rock-Trac 4x4 to provide a lower-range gear ratio. This means that its drivetrain is optimized for handling crawling at low speeds. After all, the average speed on the Rubicon Trail is just 3 MPH in most spots. Additionally, it features an electronic disconnecting front sway bar, allowing you to let the front wheels rise and drop further at the push of a button to increase articulation and pass over large trail obstacles. It also features a FOX off-roading suspension system, signature red tow hooks, locking front and rear differentials, and 33-inch all-terrain tires.

High Altitude

The High Altitude trim takes the Wrangler Sahara to new heights with even more premium features. This begins outside with a standard body-color hard top, 20-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, and body-color bumpers. Inside the Wrangler High Altitude, you’ll enjoy plush Nappa leather-trimmed seating with Caramel accent stitching, ambient LED lighting, and a 7-inch digital driver information display screen. Like the Sahara, the High Altitude comes standard with four doors and a turbocharged engine.
