Engines available for the 2023 Grand Cherokee
A great SUV deserves some powerful engines, and the Grand Cherokee certainly has some powerful engines! The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 capable of producing a spectacular 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. If you fall in love with one of the higher trims, such as the Trailhawk, Summit, or Overland, then you will have access to a 5.7-liter V8 that pumps out 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. We round things our the epic hybrid engine known as the 4xe, which takes a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and adds a battery pack and two electric motors to generate a solid 375 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. In 2023, you can get this engine for the Trailhawk trim. No matter what engine you get, it will come with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is the default setup for the V6 engine, but four-wheel-drive is available. The V8 and 4xe come standard with four-wheel-drive.
How the Grand Cherokee keeps you safe

Then there are the luxury items which include leather seats, a sunroof, a more extensive and more functional touchscreen infotainment system, and heated seats. Off-roaders unite! The Grand Cherokee also has a Trailhawk trim which gets all the latest off-road equipment, including front tow hooks, a front-facing camera, gloss black roof, hill ascent and descent control, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, all-terrain tires, and an adaptive air suspension with selectable ride height settings.
